Uploading Google Docs in Schoology

We've had some questions about the best way to upload Google Docs inside of a Schoology course. One way to do this is to get the shareable link from your doc, and then click the "add file/link/external tool" button to add the file. There you paste the link that you copied and give it a title.

A faster way to do this is to click "import from resources". From there you can select "apps" from the left side of the menu, and then click on the "Google Drive Resource App." If you haven't clicked on this before, you may have to authorize Schoology using your Google Drive.

From there you should be able to see the files in your Google Drive. Check the box next to the file you want to post in your course, and select "import".

If you select "import file", Schoology will convert your Google Doc to a Microsoft Word Document and post it in your course. This new document becomes a static document, and is no longer linked to your Google Doc.

If you select "import link", Schoology will add a the shareable link in your Schoology course using
the title of the document as the name. This process seems to be much faster than getting the link from the document itself.

Watch the video below to see this process in action!
